ABOUT US
We are a small practice specialising in planning and development consultancy. We act for private and public companies, landowners, public bodies and individuals who need specialist planning and development advice. We also acquire land for development and dispose of land on clients' behalf after securing planning consent.
After 25 years of experience working for private consultancies, a planning authority and the University of Northumbria, Andrew set up the firm in October 2005. Since then, the practice has grown and undertakes work throughout Scotland, dealing with local authorities from Highland to Scottish Borders.
We enjoy steering clients through the planning process and bring our commercial experience to unlock value. Above all, we address issues directly and look to achieve clients' objectives in the most efficient and effective way possible.
We are based in Fife, approximately 40 miles north of Edinburgh and 16 miles west of St Andrews.

BA (Hons) Town Planning Pg CEd
Andrew graduated in 1979 from South Bank University, London with a town planning degree and has over 43 years experience in town and country planning matters. He has worked in local government as a planning officer and lectured in planning and development at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Most of his career has been in private practice advising individuals, companies, landowners and public bodies about planning matters.
Andrew advises on the purchase and disposal of land for residential and commercial development including land with and without planning permission. He also advises about options to purchase land with long term development potential.

Bridgette McCafferty
Bridgette spent almost ten years in planning, having worked for Newbury District Council, Berkshire and Tynedale District Council, Northumberland. During this time she processed many planning applications for domestic and commercial development and gained a thorough understanding of the way in which local government works. As well as advising on preparation and submission of planning applications she ensures that the practice runs smoothly.
